Project Overview:
Evergreen Garden is an immersive Augmented Reality experience designed to reconnect users with nature through guided meditative moments at Cal State Fullerton’s Arboretum. The project transforms the physical landscape into a mindful journey, inviting users to explore distinct ecological zones—ranging from tranquil forests to arid desert environments—while engaging in short, reflective meditations.
The experience is guided by a cast of AI-generated plant characters, each with unique personalities and voices, designed to match the tone and atmosphere of their respective environments. These digital guides serve as narrators and companions, gently leading users through the AR path while offering calming prompts and environmental insight.
Logo Exploration:
The Evergreen Garden logo was designed to reflect the project's natural and calming essence through minimalist, organic forms. The primary wordmark uses a bold, rounded typeface to evoke a sense of approachability and groundedness. A sprouting leaf icon emerges from the letter “e,” symbolizing growth, mindfulness, and the connection between technology and nature.
Additionally, a standalone leaf mark was developed as a simplified symbol for the brand—ideal for use in app icons, AR markers, or loading animations. Its smooth, abstract shape echoes the diversity of plant life found in the arboretum while maintaining visual clarity at small sizes.

Evergreen Garden provides a carefully curated path through the Arboretum, designed to offer moments of peace and reflection while surrounded in greenery and gorgeous landscapes. Users are guided along the path through audio prompts, encouraging deep breathing, mindfulness, and connection with nature.
